Follow-up check-in structure (calm, controlled)

A good check-in invites an update without pressure. It should not imply outcomes, diagnose, or introduce urgency. Keep it short, structured, and easy for the client to respond to.

Structure (simple)

1) One calm line acknowledging the plan
2) One question that’s easy to answer
3) One neutral next step (if update needed)

Example wording

• “Just checking in since our last visit — how has your skin felt since [treatment/plan]?”
• “Any changes you’ve noticed (even small)?”
• “If you’d like, share a quick update and we can review the next step together at your follow-up.”

Avoid

• “You should be seeing results by now…”
• “This means it’s getting worse…”
• “You need to…” (unless it was explicitly agreed)
