Client consent wording for AI drafting (basics)

This is not legal advice. It’s communication guidance for how to talk about AI used as a drafting assistant, while keeping responsibility and professional judgement clearly with the practitioner.

Keep it simple

If you mention AI at all, keep it factual:
• AI helps draft wording
• You review and edit
• No medical advice is generated

Avoid over-claiming

Avoid: “AI guarantees accuracy”, “AI is clinically validated”, “AI makes decisions”. Keep responsibility with the practitioner.

Example wording

• “We may use tools that help draft communication. All messages are reviewed and finalised by the practitioner.”
• “AI is used for wording support only — not for diagnosis or treatment decisions.”
